XU donates lot for resettlement site

THE Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan will be donating to the city government of Cagayan de Oro around three hectares of its property in the upper part of Barangay Puerto for use as resettlement site for qualified informal settlers.

As this developed, the 19th City Council, during its regular session on Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy, authorized City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno to sign the Deed of Donation for and in behalf of the city government.

Under the Deed of Donation, the site will be exclusively used relocation and resettlement of informal settlers, particularly those residing in the area.
