VM Uy calls on public to strictly observe regulations vs spread of Covid
VICE Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy is calling on the public to strictly observe regulations to help stop the spread of the Covid pandemic in Cagayan de Oro.
In view of reports that attendance in wake and funeral services were identified by contact tracers as a source of virus transmission, the vice mayor said a new policy was implemented effective May 15 limiting the wake to a maximum of three days.
Only 20 persons will be allowed during the burial including the religious minister, he said.
The city is also imposing curfew hours in the city from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM the next day in view of the surging Covid cases.
Vice Mayor Uy said the cooperation, unity, and discipline of everyone will help address the health crisis.
