VM Bebot Rodriguez supports Mindanaoan artistry at Strike a Pose 8

Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, vice-chair of Strike a Pose 8: Tela Mindanao Fashion Show, demonstrated her unwavering support for the Empress of Haute Couture, Gil Macaibay III, at the event held at the SM CDO Downtown Event Center on August 16, 2024.

The fashion show highlighted the breathtaking Mindanaoan collection of Macaibay, featuring the exquisite creations of cultural weavers from Mindanao. Each design paid homage to the region's rich heritage and artistic spirit, bringing the vibrant culture of Mindanao to life on the runway.

More than as an event partner, Vice Mayor Rodriguez is a dedicated advocate for the creative industry in Cagayan de Oro. Her commitment to the city’s fashion scene is evident in her efforts to champion local designers and her proposal to establish the city’s Culture and Arts Council—a legislative initiative aimed at providing a platform for emerging talents and fostering Cagayan de Oro’s unique artistic identity.

Councilor Girlie Balaba also delivered the opening message on behalf of Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy and graced the runway alongside Binibining Intercontinental 2019, Miss Emma Tiglao, Dr. Emily Ravalo-Ceballos, and other models, adding further glamour to the show.
