Villa Flora 2 Sub Alteration of Plan under scrutiny

The City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas is carefully studying the application of Villa Flora Phase 2 Homeowners Association, Inc. for the Alteration of Plan of its subdivision.

The association applied for alteration of its subdivision by changing the land use from Community Facilities to Residential of a portion of Lot 1, Block 2 of the said subdivision in Barangay Cugman. The affected lot with an area of 280 square meters will be exchanged for residential lots, which were installed with water pumping station and water reservoir.

During the committee meeting, Councilor Cabanlas said he is amenable to the said application since it is for water supply purposes. However, he said the law provides that open spaces area areas reserved exclusively for parks, playgrounds, recreational uses, and other similar facilities and amenities.

“The problem lang kay na declare na sa subdivision plan, approved by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) as well as the City Council and the Register of Deeds … na title na,” he said.

Councilor Cabanlas said he will ask the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) to shed light on the matter. As this developed, the committee will tackle the matter again during its next meeting and will invite representatives of DHSUD for further deliberation.
