Success of operation is on precision and simplicity - Calizo

THE success of every operation is on its precision and simplicity.

This was pointed out by Councilor Romeo V. Calizo in reaction to the presentation relative to the distribution of the Special Cash Assistance or Ayuda to the residents of the city affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

While expressing appreciation to the efforts of the distribution team, Calizo pointed out the need to conduct debriefing to determine the causes of the complaints.

By doing so, the deficiencies, discrepancies or lapses could have been corrected since the distribution of SAP 1 and 2, he pointed out.

“The common complaint is profiling. The population of the city is 722 million, while the cash ayuda is P767 million. If you distributed P1000 to every citizen of the city, sobra-sobra na ang 767 million, so there’s something wrong in the budgeting process,” cited the councilor.

Calizo said profiling should have been done individually and only those who are supposed to receive should be given the cash assistance.

“What we’ve done so far is we have the projection which is not realistic. The more realistic one is (to) … profile (those) who are supposed to receive the P1,000. That’s the simplest way to do the budgeting. So I hope you include this in your corrections after you conduct your debriefing,” the councilor further suggested.
