Subd committee backs no objection for proposed aggregate crushing plant project in Pagatpat
THE City Council Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas favorably endorsed the request of MNB Trading Corporation for a resolution interposing no objection to the construction of the proposed aggregate crushing plant project in Barangay Pagatpat.
During the committee meeting yesterday, Barangay Chair Achilles U. Babaran said that the company is very supportive to the barangay programs. They have active social responsibility to the community and provided facilities such as CCTV cameras for security purposes, and the use of equipment for the construction of basketball court.
It may be recalled that the company applied for a Mineral Processing Permit (MPP) to the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) for its proposed crushing plant, and the requirement to secure a certificate of social acceptability from the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) was already complied.
Councilor Cabanlas recommended the approval of the request adding that this will be referred to the Office of the City Mayor Rolando A. Uy.
He, likewise, requested the company to proceed to the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) for securing the issuance of special permit.
Councilors Joey Abbu and Aga Suan, who were present during the meeting, supported the move for approval.
