Subd Comm to inspect properties in Puntod, Mambuaya
THE City Council Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas will conduct separate ocular inspections for the properties located in Barangays Puntod and Mambuaya.
This was agreed upon during the committee meeting yesterday, following the discussions of the requests of the said barangays.
It may be recalled that the Barangay Council of Puntod requested the committee for the expropriation of the 2,791 square meter lot located at St. John Tabaco District 1 of the said barangay that is owned by the Paras Management and Development Corporation.
Puntod Barangay Chair Alexis Dacer said the property, adjacent to the school premises, is intended for recreational uses, holding of events, and to serve as an evacuation site.
A representative of the lot owners manifested that they intended to sell their property to the city for use by the barangay. In fact, they already submitted to the committee its offer-to-sell letter.
Councilor Cabanlas said the committee will recommend it to City Mayor Rolando A. Uy for negotiation of the property through the City Legal Office once the necessary ocular inspection has been undertaken.
Meanwhile, the committee will likewise inspect a portion of a government-owned property in Barangay Mambuaya in response to the request of its Barangay Council to declare the property as on-site resettlement area and to award the area to the actual occupants.
Councilors Roger G. Abaday, Joey S. Abbu and Aga G. Suan supported the conduct of site inspection of the said lot areas.
