Subd Comm acts on request of Brgy Puntod on RROW concern
THE City Council Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, acted on the request of the Barangay Council of Puntod headed by Punong Barangay Alexis J. Dacer, regarding the appeal of some residents for a road right-of-way (RROW) at San Vicente Ferrer, District 3 of the said barangay.
The Gavel learned that the barangay officials requested the committee for the possible expropriation of the proposed RROW affecting portion of lot nos. 1164 and 1167.
During the committee meeting yesterday, Barangay Chair Dacer said that the residents of the area are clamoring for a RROW for easy access, especially during emergencies. He said there is an identified private lot suitable for the purpose.
Councilor Cabanlas said a recommendation from the city’s technical team is necessary to identify the boundaries of the proposed road.
For her part, the representative of the City Engineer’s Office said that consent from the lot owner is needed for them to conduct a survey of the area.
With this, Councilor Cabanlas said that the Puntod Barangay Council, as well as the residents of the area, should coordinate with the City Engineer’s Office to provide the needed information for the conduct of the survey.
