Subd cmte tackles Patag’s request to use city lot
THE City Council Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas discussed the request of Barangay Patag to utilize the property owned by the city government, for the barangay’s multi-purpose building and livelihood programs to be funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The requested lot is in front of Camp Evangelista at the right side of the barangay road along at the Buenavista Village.
During the committee meeting, Kagawad Paolo Daan of Barangay Patag said this request was way back 2016 but did not push through because of some issues in the lot acquisition.
The DPWH-10 has yet to implement the project pending transfer of the property ownership to the barangay, it was learned.
With this, the committee asked the City Engineer’s Office for the technical description, as well as the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) and City Legal Office for comments and recommendation.
Councilors Aga Suan and Roger Abaday were also present during the meeting.
