Subd cmte inspects proposed condo project in Carmen
COUNCILOR Edgar S. Cabanlas, chair of the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate, led the ocular inspection of a proposed condominium project in Barangay Carmen.
This is in response to the application for the Preliminary Subdivision Development Plan (PSDP) of Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation on its West Woods Storeys, a residential condominium project.
The project covers an area of 233,533 square meters for the 6th floors and 7th floors generating seven residential condominium buildings, containing 1,228 units under PD 957.
During the inspection, it was observed that the said proposed project is located on the mountainous portion of a boundary of Barangay Canitoan. It can be accessed via the San Agustin Valley Subdivision at present.
The project is bounded by Tagbabanga Creek and Tagmatay Creek. The legal easement of the creeks is provided as indicated on the approved subdivision plan.
Councilor Cabanlas expressed his concern over the access road of the proposed project. He said the developer should look for a possible alternative access road.
Cabanlas likewise requested the developer to also focus on the catch basin as the area is bounded by creeks. The thickness of the gutter should also be considered as provided by law, he cited.
A representative of the developer said the corporation is now looking into that matter. He said the management is proposing a passageway thru West Woods Village going to Hillsborough Subdivision. He assured that all conditions will be forwarded to the management for further review.
The committee will tackle the matter again during its next meeting.
