Subd cmte endorses proposed condo project
THE application of Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation for Preliminary Subdivision Development Plan (PSDP) of its West Woods Storeys, a residential condominium project, was endorsed by the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya for appropriate action.
The proposed condominium covers an area of 233,533 square meters for the 6th and 7th floors generating seven residential condominium buildings and 1,228 units as shown in its plan.
Citing observations during the ocular inspection a few days ago, Councilor Cabanlas said the developer should look into a proper access road going to the project.
During the meeting, Engr. Chrysler Acebu of Pueblo de Oro, said the access leading to the said project is through San Agustin Avenue. It was observed that the existing road is not wide enough during inspection since the repair of the Bamboo land is ongoing at that time, he said.
However, he said as of now the repair is almost complete and the road measures 12-meter wide which is bigger than other road projects of the city.
Citing a traffic study, Engr. Acebu added that the existing road is wide enough if the area will experience traffic. He, however, assured that the developer is still open to the idea of looking for an alternative access road.
Cabanlas said the city and concerned agencies will continue monitoring the proposed project. He said the City Council will also determine whether the area is suitable for a condominium high-rise building.
