Subd cmte backs offer to sell land at Tabako, Brgy Puntod
IN support to the programs and projects of the city, the City Council Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, endorsed to the City Legal Office for recommendation the offer of heirs of Felicidad Villegas to sell their property to the city government.
During its recent meeting, one of the heirs of the lot owner said that former Councilor Alexander S. Dacer called them to negotiate the selling of the 1,162 square meter property at Tabako, Barangay Puntod near St. John Elementary School for purposes of expanding the said school.
He said the certificate of title indicated that the property still belongs to Barangay Macabalan since Barangay Puntod then was still a Sitio.
Councilor Cabanlas said that City Mayor Rolando A. Uy expressed his intention to purchase the lot for the proposed expansion of the said school.
With this, Councilor Cabanlas requested the lot owner to submit pertinent documents to the City Legal Office to proceed with the process of acquisition.
Councilors Jose Pepe S. Abbu, Aga Suan, and Roger G. Abaday were also present during the meeting.
