Suan calls for investigation on delivery service scams

“FRAUDS and scams have no place in our society,” stated Councilor Aga Suan during his special report at the recent City Council session on safety awareness for users of delivery service apps.

Councilor Suan, who recently reopened his food business, shared his experience of falling victim to a scam during a transaction involving a delivery app.

He called for an investigation to be done on how scammers access personal information, noting that “people in Cagayan de Oro should feel safe when they engage in business.”

Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, who has also been a victim of a similar incidence, urged the public to exercise caution when using delivery services.

She then referred the matter to the committee on trade and commerce, chaired by Councilor George Goking, for further investigation.
