Suan calls for inclusive tourism at Rio de Oro Blvd
“As long as anyone is included (regardless of class), as long as it is an inclusive event or venue, then it is actually good for tourism.”
Councilor Aga Suan stressed this in response to the special report of Councilor Romeo Calizo on the establishment of the Higalaay Festival Market at the Rio de Oro Boulevard for the city fiesta celebration.
Suan said the boulevard has become one of the city's latest attractions and various entities have expressed interest in boosting commerce in the area, including the Higalaay food park, which has sparked premature negative discussions online.
Emphasizing the need for inclusivity, Councilor Suan stated that the government should promote such an event for everyone—not just the high-end market, but also for the low- and middle-income classes. He believes that as long as these conditions are met, the public will appreciate and understand the essence of these initiatives.
