Study on Bulk Water Supply Project ok’d

WATER supply problems in the city may ease soon.

This, as the 20th City Council during the regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance authorizing Mayor Klarex Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Standard Systems Water and Wastewater Technologies, Inc. (SSWWTI) for the preparation of a feasibility study for Bulk Water Supply Project in the city.

In his urgent request to the City Council, Mayor Uy said the study will significantly benefit Kagay-anons as water is indispensable for sustaining life.

Under the MoU, SSWWTI shall prepare the study within 12 months and, if found feasible, submit to the City Government its unsolicited proposal which will include an outline of the project design, program for implementation, estimate of project cost and bulk water tariff rate for the sale of treated bulk water.
