SP Oks supplemental budget for hazard pay, SRA, other services
THE 19th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy approved the Supplemental Budget No. 3 of the General Fund and Supplemental Budget No. 3 of the Special Account: Local Economic Enterprises, both for Calendar Year 2021, with estimated incomes of P50,991,200 and P10,600,000, respectively.
In his letter to the City Council, City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno said the budget allocations are funded from the continuing appropriations of prior years to fund various priority programs and projects.
These include the payment of hazard pay to City Hall personnel, other COVID-19 workers and Special Risk Allowance (SRA) for the JR Borja General Hospital and City Health Office, other maintenance and operating expenses (HP and SRA for JOs), other general services for JRBGH, among others.
The payment of hazard pay is in compliance with Administrative Order No. 35 of President Rodrigo Duterte, which authorizes the grant of active hazard duty pay to human resources for health servicing in the frontlines during the state of national emergency.
The legislation was certified urgent by the city mayor and duly endorsed by all members of the City Council.
