SP oks SK budget of brgys 22, 37

IN a recent session presided by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, the 20th City Council has returned as operative the annual budgets for CY 2024 of the Sangguniang Kabataans of Barangays 22 and 37.

These budgets, totaling ₱651,749.00 for Barangay 22 and ₱335,882.00 for Barangay 37, were sourced from their respective barangay’s 10% development fund as per Republic Act No. 10742. 

 Both SKs have allocated funds for the payment of personal services for council members, procurement of necessary office equipment, and maintenance and operating expenses.The funds were allocated for youth development initiatives in their barangays, with a focus on areas like health, education, environment, peace-building and security, active citizenship, and governance.

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on Sports and Youth Development and on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilors Kenneth John Sacala and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
