SP OKs SK budget of Barangay 35

THE 19th City Council during its regular session last Monday presided by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy passed a resolution returning to the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay No. 35 its ordinance covering its annual budget for 2021 with an estimated income of P485,241.

This will be used to implement programs and projects that are given priority this year as mandated by RA 10742, otherwise known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015.

Funds were appropriated for the purchase of furniture and fixtures, one unit desktop computer, printer, and air conditioner, and for environmental protection, health, and anti-drug abuse, and sports development, among others.

Councilor John Michael Seno, chair of the committee on sports and youth development, said the ordinance passed through series of meetings and was found to be in order.

The resolution was also reviewed and favorably endorsed by the committees on barangay affairs and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam Lim and Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively.
