SP OKs Oro’s CDP, CDIP
THE 19th City Council DURING its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy adopted a resolution approving and/or adopting the Updated Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) and the Comprehensive Development Investment Program (CDIP) of Cagayan de Oro, both for 2020-2025.
This is in compliance with the directives of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), requiring the local government units to update their respective development plans to integrate more relevant and responsive programs/projects interventions that address COVID-19 pandemic management, climate change challenges, peace-building efforts, and attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) targets, among others.
The updated version of the city’s 2020-2025 CDP/CDIP, which was made possible through the technical knowledge support and commitment of those involved in the CDP process, provides the development direction that the city government shall continue to pursue during the plan implementation period until 2025 amidst the challenges brought about primarily by the pandemic.
This does not only sustain the gains achieved by the present administration during its three-term period but will also purposely provide the framework that will hopefully guide the development direction of the succeeding administration, City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno said in his message incorporated in the CDP.
The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on planning and development and on laws and rules both chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya.
