In his letter to the City Council, Mayor Uy stated that the Filipino people owe our veterans a debt of appreciation for their devotion and sacrifice to the nation, putting their lives on the line to keep our country secure from internal and external enemies, and the least that the government can do is to ‘provide hospitalization and efficient healthcare.

PVAO, through the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC), is mandated to provide hospitalization and medical care to the veterans and their beneficiaries pursuant to RA 6948 as amended by RA 7696.
