SP oks MOA with DA-RFO 10

IN its regular session Monday, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, the 20th City Council enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy, representing the City Government of Cagayan de Oro, to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) and the Balubal Integrated Social Forestry Farmers Association, Inc. (BISFFA).

The MOA covers DA’s grant of two (2) units of multi-crop drying pavement with UV plastic shed, ten (10) heads breeding cattle and eight (8) modules ready-to-lay chickens to the BISSFA as project recipient.


In his letter to the City Council, Mayor Klarex Uy endorsed for the MOA's approval stating that it will enhance and increase the productivity and profitability of the recipient farmers in the use of agricultural resources through the various banner programs and activities of the agency.


The said MOA was thoroughly reviewed by the City Legal Office and find the same to be in legal order and thus pose no objection thereto.


The legislation was sponsored by the Committees on Agriculture and Cultural Minorities and on Laws and Rules, respectively chaired by Councilors Jay R. Pascual and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
