SP OKs MOA with DA-10 for farming implement

SUPPORTING agricultural development, the City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of

Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office No. 10 (DA-RFO 10) covering the latter’s grant of one unit hand tractor amounting to P280,000.

Under the MOA, the DA-10 shall procure and turnover the tractor to the city government, monitor the activities of the beneficiaries, and provide guidelines in the implementation of different interventions, among others.

For its part, the city government shall submit to DA-10 the list of beneficiaries, secure all the needed documents, orient the recipients, and supervise the project in accordance

with its intended use.

The ordinance was endorsed by the committees on agriculture chaired by Councilor Jay R. Pascual and on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya.
