The donation includes one (1) brand new desktop computer, intended for the exclusive use of collecting data on persons with disabilities (PWD) through the Department of Health’s Philippine Registry of Persons with Disability (PRPWD).

According to the deed, the city is tasked with utilizing the donated computer solely for encoding and uploading PWD data to the PRPWD system as well as providing a secure location for the computer at either the CSWD or the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), where the PWD ID card is issued.

Moreover, the city will ensure the computer has an internet connection for seamless online data encoding and uploading. A permanent staff member will be assigned to manage these responsibilities.

The ordinance was sponsored by the City Council Committees on Social Services and on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilors Joyleen Mercedes L. Balaba and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
