SP okays SK Tagpangi 2024 budget
THE Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Tagpangi received approval for its 2024 annual budget after the 20th City Council passed a resolution during its regular session on Monday, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez.
With an estimated income of ₱555,865.00, the budget is derived from the barangay's 10% general fund, as mandated by Republic Act No. 10742 or the SK Reform Act.
Out of the total amount, ₱370,000.00 has been allocated for various youth development and empowerment initiatives. These initiatives focus on ten key areas: health (₱205,000.00), education (₱5,000.00), economic empowerment (₱5,000.00), social inclusion and equity (₱5,000.00), peacebuilding and security (₱5,000.00), governance (₱110,000.00), active citizenship (₱25,000.00), environment (₱5,000.00), and agriculture (₱5,000.00).
The remaining budget covers personal services and maintenance and other operating expenses, including travel, training, fidelity bond, and membership dues to organizations.
The resolution was sponsored by the Committee on Sports and Youth Development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John Sacala, and the Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Atty. Edgar Cabanlas.
