SP extends deadline for renewal of business permits

THE deadline for the renewal of business permits and licenses in the city has been extended from January 20, 2024 to February 29, 2024.

This, as the 20th City Council during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez enacted an ordinance for the purpose in view of the request of the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (Oro Chamber) and the favorable endorsement of City Mayor Rolando A. Uy.

In its letter request to the mayor, the Oro Chamber noticed that several local businessmen are facing difficulties in fulfilling the requirement within the given duration, particularly in recovering from the pandemic, “and massive overhead expenses brought about by the long holidays.”

The additional period will give the business sector ample time to overcome the challenges and ensure compliance with the requirements, said local businessmen.
