SP dismisses admin cases of brgy officials
THROUGH separate resolutions, the 20th City Council, during its regular session on Monday presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, adopted the order of the Committee on Ethics and Blue Ribbon, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, dismissing the administrative cases of few barangay officials.
The legislative body dismissed the case filed against Barangay No. 7 Punong Barangay Ronald V. Seriña for violation of anti-graft and corrupt practices act, gross negligence, inaction, dishonesty and conduct unbecoming, due to the complainants’ failure to submit an amended affidavit complaint and failure to attend the said hearing.
The BR Case filed against Punong Barangay Andrew E. Melliza of Barangay Agusan , for abuse of authority, grave misconduct, conduct unbecoming, conduct unbecoming prejudicial to the best interest of the service and oppression with criminal offenses of conspiracy and grave coercion with the management of Pryce Properties was also dismissed, since the complainant has expressed no further interest in continuing with the proceedings of the said case.
The resolutions were sponsored by the Committees on Ethics and Blue Ribbon and on Laws and Rules both chaired by Councilor Cabanlas.
