SP confirms MOA with MORESCO-1 for electric connection services at Tuburan

The Misamis Oriental-1 Rural Electric Service Coop., Inc. (MORESCO-1) will construct the power distribution line to serve the residents of Sitio Pen-as in Barangay Tuburan so that they will soon have a sustainable electric connection in their area.

Through an ordinance, the 20th City Council during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez enacted an ordinance ratifying the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) entered into by and between the city government of Cagayan de Oro and the Misamis Oriental-1 Rural Electric Service Coop., Inc. covering the collaboration of the parties in the electrification services at the said area.

City Mayor Rolando A. Uy emphasized to the legislative body the need for the city government to consider the electrification services of MORESCO-1 a valuable commodity for its residents.

Under the MOA, the MORESCO-1 shall provide the needed power requirement of the consumer and agree to commence the construction of lines upon signing of the contract and payment of required fees. Energization thereof shall be facilitated upon the completion of the line construction and submission of the required documents for application by MORESCO-1 and the Office of the Building Official.

The city (consumer) is required to comply with all requirements for the electric service connection of MORESCO-1 including the payment of the Bill Deposit, among others.
