SP CONFIRMS APPOINTMENT OF RAAGAS AS CITY ADMINISTRATOR

ACTING upon the endorsement of Mayor Rolando Uy, the 20th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn Rodriguez confirmed the appointment of Atty. Roy Hilario P. Raagas as the City Administrator.

This is in line with Section 454 (d) of RA 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, which provides that heads of departments and offices shall be appointed by the city mayor with the concurrence of the majority of all the Sangguniang Panlungsod members, subject to civil service law, rules and regulations.
