SP backs P10M donation for El Niño relief

THE 20th City Council, during their regular session on Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance accepting the P10 million donation from the Office of the President to aid farmers, fisherfolks, and other marginalized families affected by the El Niño phenomenon.

Under the ordinance, Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy is authorized to sign the deed of donation with the Office of the President, represented by Undersecretaries Adrian Carlos A. Bersamin and Al-Azree J. Mohammadsali and to distribute the cash assistance at P10,000 per family to qualified beneficiaries.
