SP authorizes Mayor Uy to apply for freshwater hatchery site
THE 20th City Council, in its regular session on Monday, enacted an ordinance, authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to apply for a Gratuitous Special Use Permit (GSUP) with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Regional Office 10 over a two-hectare land at the Emmanuel Pelaez Ranch, Malasag, Cugman for the Legislated Multi-Species Freshwater Hatchery Project.
This project was made feasible through a tripartite agreement between the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Congressman Rufus Rodriguez, and the City Government of Cagayan de Oro as the recipient.
The legislation was sponsored by the Committees on Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and on Laws and Rules respectively chaired by Councilor Christian Rustico M. Achas and Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
