SP approves use of document security seal
THE 20th City Council, in its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance mandating the use of document security seal by all frontline offices and departments of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro on official and original documents issued to transacting persons or entities.
This, after City Mayor Rolando A. Uy, in his letter dated May 6, 2024 addressed to the City Council, emphasized that the use of the document security seal will help confirm and guarantee the authenticity of official documents or papers consistent with the city’s commitment to uphold the highest standards of document integrity and security.
The unique features of the security seal in the form of a hologram security sticker will also facilitate ease of identification and verification of authentic documents, thus streamlining the administrative processes and reducing delays in the delivery of services.
The legislation, certified urgent by the City Mayor, received unanimous approval from the members of the City Council.
