SP approves supplemental budget for grant of PMI, priority projects

CHRISTMAS will be merrier for all city government workers.

The City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy on Monday, December 9, enacted an ordinance approving Supplemental Budget No. 4 of the General Fund and

Supplemental Budget No. 4 of the Special Account: Local Economic Enterprises, both for 2021.

With estimated incomes of ₱166,394,920 and ₱25,700,000, respectively, the supplemental budgets will be used to fund various priority programs and projects, as well as the grant of Personnel Motivation Incentive (PMI) to all officials and employees.

It was learned that the Program on Awards and Incentive for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee adopted the recommendation of the Performance Management

Team (PMT) to grant the PMI to recognize and award officials and employees of the city government for their very satisfactory accomplishments and services which contributed to the efficiency, economy and improvement in government operations leading to organizational productivity.

It may be recalled that the city was able to bag several awards for the past years and even during the pandemic.

For the fourth consecutive year, Cagayan de Oro was able to get the Blue Seal of Good Education Governance.

In 2020, the city was the 7th Most Competitive Highly Urbanized City and was awarded as the Outstanding Implementer of DOLE Care Services and other Employment Facilitated Program with a 100-percent performance rating.

The city also received a certificate of recognition for its exemplary performance in the effective and efficient implementation of nutrition-related Covid-19 responses, among others.

The ordinance was reviewed by the committee on finance, budget and appropriations chaired by Councilor Edna M. Dahino.
