SP approves SK budget of brgys 35, 5

IN its Monday regular session, the 20th City Council presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, returned as operative the annual budget for calendar year 2024 of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. 35 and Brgy 5.

The approved budgets, amounting to ₱335,199.92 and ₱317,173.00, respectively, were derived from the ten percent (10%) general fund of each barangay. This allocation is in accordance with RA 10742, also known as the "Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015."

The budgets were earmarked for various youth development and empowerment programs, which will focus on key areas such as health, education, active citizenship, environment, peace-building and security, governance, and economic empowerment.

The resolutions were reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Sports and Youth Development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
