SP approves ₱56-M supplemental budget

The 20th City Council, in its regular session on Monday, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance approving the ₱56,185,404.00 Supplemental Budget No. 4 of the General Fund for CY 2024.

From the overall budget, the city has allocated P37,756,029 for Barangay Empowerment Programs and Projects specifically to finance the road concreting of Zone 2 Upper Baikingon, construction of basketball covered court at Singapore, Balulang (Phase 2), proposed covered court at Sitio Midkiwan National High School, covered court at Barangay Tumpagon, and two-storey multipurpose building at Barangay Bayabas.

Other programs covered under SB 4 include construction of school pergola, gate, guardhouse and fence at Carmen National High School, improvement of City Legal Office at City Hall, construction of concrete bleacher, bleacher’s roofing at San Agustin Valley in Barangay Carmen, and proposed covered court at Balubal Heights.

The rest of the appropriations are reserved for capital outlay and payment for personal services (overtime and night pay), The Gavel learned.

The legislation was certified urgent by the City Mayor and approved by the members of the City Council.
