SP approves MOA with OCD-10

THE 20th City Council, during its regular session on Monday, authorized City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Office of Civil Defense-Region 10 (OCD-10) to facilitate the engagement of medical and psychosocial services provided by J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) for OCD-10 officers and employees.

Under the MOA, OCD-10 will refer its personnel needing these services to JRBGH, with payments to be made directly to the hospital. Both parties agreed to indemnify each other from claims arising due to negligence or other issues during the agreement's implementation.

The MOA will be effective for one year from its execution and is renewable upon written notice at least a month before expiration. Amendments or modifications require mutual agreement and must be formalized in writing by authorized representatives.

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the City Council Committee on Health, Nutrition, and Health Insurance, led by Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane, and the Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
