SP approves MOA for Sitio Butay Bridge construction

THE 20th City Council, in its regular session Monday, presided by Presiding Officer Pro Tempore Councilor Romeo Calizo, enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Klarex Uy to sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Bridges Management Cluster-Unified Project Management Office (BMC-UPMO) for the construction of Sitio Butay Bridge in Barangay Dansolihon under the Tulay ng Pangulo para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo project.

The city government of Cagayan de Oro strongly requested for the said construction to improve access local communities to rural development services and facilities and other related projects supportive of local capability development and of the agricultural modernization program, and thus, contribute to the alleviation of the economic and socio-political conditions in the locality.

The legislation was certified urgent by Mayor Uy.
