SP approves MOA for San Simon Super Health Center construction

The 20th City Council, in its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Health-Center for Health Development Northern Mindanao (DOH-CHDNM) covering the construction of the new San Simon Super Health Center, located in Barangay San Simon under the latter’s Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP 2002).

The HFEP 2002 aims to guarantee equitable access to affordable healthcare for the disadvantaged groups.

 

Under the MOA, the DOH-CHDNM shall organize coordination meetings with the city to determine and finalize project proposals, evaluate/review, validate project proposals, and endorse to DOH Central Office for approval based on the guidelines of the HFEP 2022.

 

It shall also provide technical assistance in the preparation of Detailed Agriculture and Engineering Designs (DAED), program of works, and detailed estimates, among others.

 

For its part, the city government shall submit project proposal request based on the HFEP 2002 guidelines which includes documentary requirements of the facility, proof of lot ownership profile set by the DOH-CHDNM, schematic plan, and site development plan.

 

It shall also be responsible for the processing of application for building and occupancy permits, including payments and other requirements for infrastructure projects, among others.

 

The legislation was sponsored by the City Council Committees on Health, Nutrition and Health Insurance and on Laws and Rules, respectively chaired by Councilors Maria Lourdes S. Gaane and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
