SP approves Barangays 11, 32 Annual Budgets for CY 2023
THROUGH separate resolutions, the 20th City Council, in its regular session Monday, returned as operative the resolutions to two (2) barangays their Sangguniang Kabataan Annual Budgets for CY 2023. Out from its estimated income of P324,742, Barangay No. 11 has allocated P193,556 for its various programs on health, environment, active citizenship, education, peacebuilding, and security.
Meanwhile, Barangay 32 has appropriated a total amount of P450,227 for its programs and activities, such as equitable access to quality education, environmental protection, youth employment and livelihood (economic empowerment), health and anti-drug abuse (peace and security), gender sensitivity (social inclusion and equity), sports development, and capability building (governance and active citizenship).
The allocation shall be taken from its estimated income of P500,252. The rest of the appropriations of the two barangays are intended for the payment of personal services, honoraria, maintenance, and other operating expenses, The Gavel learned.
The legislations were both reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Sports and Youth Development and on Laws and Rules, chaired respectively by Councilors John Michael L. Seno and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
