SP approves 2023 budget of Barangay Tuburan

In its Monday’s regular session, the 20th City Council, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, adopted a resolution returning to the Barangay Council of Tuburan the ordinance covering its Annual Budget for CY 2023 with the information that the same is operative in its entirety.

From its estimated income of P3,845,250, the barangay has allocated P1,145,838 for the rehabilitation of its multipurpose hall, health center, and water system.
Moreover, it shall be used for the installation of its street lighting system, barangay-wide flood control project (e.g. declogging of canals), reforestation and greening initiatives, completion of materials recovery facility, and concreting of pathway going to Luy-ahon Mountain.

The remaining appropriations are intended for personal services, non-office expenditures and maintenance, and other operating expenses (MOOE), The Gavel learned.

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Barangay Affairs and on Laws and Rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam S. Lim and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
