SP approves 2 CSOs for LSB membership

THE Fr. William F. Masterson S.J. Elementary School-School Parent-Teacher Association is now a member of the Cagayan de Oro Local Special Bodies (LSB) after the 20th City Council in its regular session Tuesday presided by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, adopted a resolution accrediting the organization.

Similarly accredited was the 2003-founded Hilltop Upper Carmen Community Homeowner's Association, Inc. (HUCCHAI), a member of the BWDC Federation of Carmen and CAFEDCO-PCUP.

Pursuant to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) circular and Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Local Government Code, the said accredited CSOs can now avail of government funding for their respective projects.

The said resolution was sponsored by the City Council Committees on Planning, Research and Innovation and People’s Organization Accreditation and on Laws and Rules respectively chaired by Councilors Ian Mark Q. Nacaya and Edgar S. Cabanlas. (JAOclarit/SP)
