SP allots ₱95-M for peace and order, public safety next year
IN a move aimed at enhancing community safety and fostering peace, the city government of Cagayan de Oro has allotted ₱95 Million for the peace and order and public safety agencies for 2025.
This is contained in the ₱8.8 Billion 2025 annual budget of the City that the 20th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez authorized recently.
Of the amount, the city allocated ₱2.027 million to fund the Cagayan de Oro Emergency Assistance and Communication Center, ₱52 million as aid to the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), ₱650,000 for the Anti-Drug Abuse Program, ₱14.9 million for aid to City Jail – male dormitory, while ₱2.6 million for City Jail – female dormitory.
Also included are the aid to Cagayan de Oro Fire District amounting to ₱17.8 million; aid to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Region 10, ₱3.3 million; and aid to National Bureau of Investigation – Region 10, ₱1.5 million.
