SP adopts BR cases dismissing complaint vs barangay officials

THROUGH a resolution, the 20th City Council during its regular session on Monday, presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, adopted the order of the Committee on Ethics and Blue Ribbon chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas on BR case to barangay officials of Barangay Lapasan.

It can be recalled that a complaint was filed against the barangay officials for dishonesty, grave misconduct, conduct unbecoming of a public officer, abuse of authority, and RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code.

Through this, the committee ruled dismissing the said case for lack of merit.

The resolution was sponsored by the Committees on Ethics and Blue Ribbon and on Laws and Rules both chaired by Councilor Cabanlas.
