Salamat-Paalam Incentive granted to City Hall retiree

The 20th City Council on its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez enacted an ordinance authorizing the City Accountant to charge the sum of P36,000 from the item: Special Program/Project: Salamat Paalam-Retirement Gift/Incentive (Praise Program) in the 2022 Annual Budget of the Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) to pay the retirement gift of a former ticket checker of the City Finance Department who retired after 36 years of government service.

Pursuant to CSC MC No. 7 Series of 1998, the Salamat Paalam Program is a simple but meaningful ceremony held in honor of retirees, whether optional or compulsory retirement.

The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on finance, budget and appropriations and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam S. Lim and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, respectively.
