Rodriguez stresses stand on cemetery project
THE redevelopment of the Bolonsori cemetery during this time of pandemic added to the stress of the people who are struggling for survival to meet their daily needs.
This was stressed by Councilor Jocelyn “Bebot “ B. Rodriguez, Assistant Minority Floor Leader who clarified that she was on official business during the approval of Ordinance No. 14000-2021, authorizing City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno to apply for and avail of the Ten-Year Term Loan Facility of the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) in the amount of P1 billion to finance priority projects.
The loan is intended for the redevelopment of the Bolonsori Memorial Park Phase I (P400,000,000), completion of the five-storey City Library and school building with basement parking (P400,000,000 and completion of the Cagayan de Oro City Hospital-Lumbia Annex and Tablon Annex Building (including fencing) in the amount of P200,000,000.
Rodriguez said documents will show that in her letter to Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy as received by the City Council on Dec. 21, 2020, she informed that she will not be able to attend the 70th regular session of the City Council as she was attending programs in barangays Macasandig and Camaman-an.
In the letter, the councilor, however, manifested her objection to Ordinance No. 14000-2021 and her abstention to the approval of the city’s 2021 budget.s
