Rodriguez bats for more support to RTA

COUNCILOR Jocelyn Rodriguez said personnel of the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) should be given all the support they need before they are deployed.
During discussions on the proposal to reinstate the fine-sharing scheme, Councilor Rodriguez said she has been very vocal about the way the RTA has been handling Cogon market and other areas. She, however, said she also sees their plight.
“Ang atong RTA they needed to be given seminar, they needed to be given values formation kay ang uban gali tawon dili gani mo ingon og maayong buntag, ang uban diretso lang singhag but sometimes because kita wala man gud nato sila taga-i sa sakto nga pamatasan, sa sakto nga pag implementar sa balaod,” she cited.
Rodriguez said they must be given importance and be properly equipped before they are sent to the field.
Councilor Rodriguez said she is for the reinstatement of the fine-sharing scheme if it will help augment the income of RTA personnel as long as it is not abused.
