Risk Reduction Mgmt Plan for 2022-2030 up for OK

THE city’s Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (LDRRMP) 2022-2030 is up for review.

In his letter to the City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy , Mayor Oscar S. Moreno said the LDRRMP provides a framework intended to raise awareness and understanding in the disaster phenomena at the local level brought about by the advent of climate change.

It serves as the city’s guide book in addressing hazards which could potentially become disasters when a set of vulnerabilities, which include, among others, people, infrastructure and resources are affected by them. It also provides focus attention on disaster prevention, mitigation, and preparation, to limit loss of lives and properties in the local government unit (LGU) during the happening of a disaster, he further cited.
