Oro dads form Committee-of-the-Whole for 2023-2032 local zoning bill
THE 20th City Council, headed by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, has constituted itself into a Committee-of-the-Whole to discuss the proposed Zoning Ordinance for 2023-2032 of the City.
As one of the components of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), the proposed zoning ordinance outlines regulations and guidelines for land use, development, and construction within the city and will have general implications for residents, businesses, and the overall landscape of the city for the next decade.
The City Development Council (CDC) has endorsed the updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) 2024-2032 for the long-term management of the local territory and as the skeletal-circulatory framework of the physical development of the city.
Recognizing the city’s growth and its anticipated metropolitanization by 2025, the city government recognizes the need for a responsive CLUP and Integrated Zoning Ordinance to address the demands for food production, residential housing and settlement, commercial and business establishments and other facilities to support various socio-economic activities.
Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, chair of the City Council Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate was designated as the presiding officer of the public hearing which is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.
