Oro dads commend Kagay-anon youth for nat'l achievements

THE 20th City Council, during its 88th regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, adopted a resolution congratulating and commending the young Kagay-anons who won national accolades at the 71st National Farm Youth (4-H) Convention.

The convention, themed "RELIVE the 4-H in YOUth: Re-energizing and Empowering 4-H Leaders in Valuable Agri-Fishery Engagements," was held at the Siargao Island Convention Center from June 17 to 21, 2024.

The recognized individuals include Jan Erwin Ryoigi P. Aljo, who won the top prize in the national Agri Tale Contest; Maydene V. Demesena, who was named an Outstanding 4-Her national finalist and received the National Excellence Achievers Award in the HANDS category for her project "School Microfarm"; Harold Payla, who earned the National Excellence Achievers Award HEAD distinction for his project "Fiesta sa Kaumahan"; and Ruth T. Abellanosa, who was honored as an Outstanding 4-H Coordinator.

This commendation was championed by Sports & Youth Development Chair Councilor Kenneth Sacala, with the full support of all council members.
