Oro dads back COBSAT Bill



The City Council, during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez, has adopted a resolution supporting House Bill No. 6671, which seeks to convert the Cagayan de Oro (BUGO) School of Arts and Trade (COBSAT) into a polytechnic institution to be administered and supervised by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), to known as the Cagayan de Oro Polytechnic Institute.


House Bill No. 6671 was filed by Congressman Rufus B. Rodriguez of the Second District Congressional Representative of the City.


The SP resolution authored by Vice Mayor Rodriguez was sponsored by the Committee on Education and Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired Councilor Suzette B. Magtajas-Daba and Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
