Oro dads authorize Mayor Uy to sign Klarexville IV MOA
THE 20TH City Council, during its regular Monday session presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, takes a big step towards addressing the housing needs of its city residents by authorizing Mayor Rolando A. Uy to sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Klarex Village IV project in Barangay San Simon.
The MOA between Klarex Village IV Macaranas Residences II Homeowners Association, Inc (HOA), Grand Apex Construction, Inc. (developer), and the City Government of Cagayan de Oro (LGU), will complement efforts in realizing the national government’s Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, established through Department Circular No. 2022-004 to provide housing solutions for over six million Filipino families by 2028.
The MOA aims to recognize and endorse the HOA and the developer to the Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD).
Under the agreement, the parties further agree to identify a suitable and safe land for informal settler families, support the development of socialized residential condominium for the member-beneficiaries of the 4PH program, and allow and endorse the participation of the contractor to DHSUD.
The Klarex Village IV project is expected to improve the lives of the underprivileged sector of Cagayan de Oro.
The Committees on Urban and Rural Poor and Housing Development and on Laws and Rules, both chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, sponsored the legislation.
